Artists look at the world differently, I have since I was a child.
I draw inspiration from the world around me, especially in the beautiful simplicity found in nature. The endless cycle of change found in the nature world is present in our own lives and it is through change we evolve as artists and so too, does what we create.
I've enjoyed experimenting and trying different mediums over the years, but working with my hands to create three dimensional forms is what most intrigues me. A few years ago I discovered an immediate connection to clay and have been hooked ever since. There's a complexity to it that's not immediately apparent, from it's many physical states, to it's versatility of form and size, to it's underlying chemical mysteries. I have only just scratched the surface of possibilities and can't wait to discover more!
